Whether you're looking for a room or two, a whole building or landscape, the Gunpowder Mills has something for everyone.
Period spaces from the Georgian to the post war set in 170 acres of woodland, waterways and open space.
We welcome weekday corporate hires, bespoke events, tour groups and filming - large or small.
Additional offers include fun activities for children and families, railway and tractor trailer rides, exhibits, walks and talks.
The site is secured by a perimeter fence with controlled access, making it suitable for larger events and filming.

Main Gallery Space
An award-winning interactive exhibition which can be hired for educational use, receptions, and ‘nights at the museum’ style events, providing a space full of nooks and crannies, perfect for drinks and canape receptions.

Boiler House Café & Kitchen
The Boiler House Café is large and spacious and ideal for corporate event hires. There is a fully fitted professional kitchen, which is also available for hire. With high ceilings and large windows, it is light and airy, and makes a picturesque setting for any event.

Mill on the Mead
A new function space suitable for educational use and drinks and canape receptions.
Capacity: Reception 120

Theatre
Our 100 seat Theatre is tiered with full AV and stage lighting. The seats have pull out writing tables. Capacity for 100 people including spaces for 4 wheelchairs. Break out spaces are available nearby. Accessible features include a lift, induction loop and accessible toilet.

Spinks Gallery
The Spinks Gallery is one of our buildings suitable for daytime celebrations, talks, presentations, filming, corporate hire and exhibitions. We have LED wall washer lighting, utility lighting (fluorescents) and spot lighting separately switchable for the stage, centre and bar area. The room is free to be set up however required, and has plenty of power sockets available to use.

Queen Meads
Queen Meads is a large expanse of grass flanked by a tree-lined avenue and the historic Incorporating Mills. Can accommodate large audiences. Cinema, theatre, re-enactments, demonstrations, classic vehicle shows, corporate and private functions, exhibitions are some popular uses.

Gunpowder Mills does not have in-house catering but works with a selected list of suppliers who can provide sandwich lunches or a range of options for evening events. Contact us for more information.
