Boiler House Café & Kitchen

The Boiler House Café is large and spacious and ideal for corporate event hires. There is a fully fitted professional kitchen, which is also available for hire. With high ceilings and large windows, it is light and airy, and makes a picturesque setting for any event.

Our 100 seat Theatre is tiered with full AV and stage lighting. The seats have pull out writing tables. Capacity for 100 people including spaces for 4 wheelchairs. Break out spaces are available nearby. Accessible features include a lift, induction loop and accessible toilet.

Spinks Gallery

The Spinks Gallery is one of our buildings suitable for daytime celebrations, talks, presentations, filming, corporate hire and exhibitions. We have LED wall washer lighting, utility lighting (fluorescents) and spot lighting separately switchable for the stage, centre and bar area. The room is free to be set up however required, and has plenty of power sockets available to use.

An award-winning interactive exhibition which can be hired for educational use, receptions, and ‘nights at the museum’ style events, providing a space full of nooks and crannies, perfect for drinks and canape receptions.

Queen Meads

Queen Meads is a large expanse of grass flanked by a tree-lined avenue and the historic Incorporating Mills. Can accommodate large audiences. Cinema, theatre, re-enactments, demonstrations, classic vehicle shows, corporate and private functions, exhibitions are some popular uses.

Catering for meetings and reception events can be provided on request for an additional charge.

Gunpowder Mills does not have in-house catering but works with a selected list of excellent suppliers who can provide breakfast rolls and pastries, sandwich or buffet lunches, afternoon tea or a range of options for evening events. Contact us for more information.

Tours and Exhibits

We can curate a bespoke programme for your team to enjoy options including a tractor trailer guided tour of our amazing site, a trip on our narrow gauge Gunpowder Railway, and/or guided visits to our Exhibition, Armoury, Rocket Vault and Grade 1 ‘Mill on the Mead’. To aid your planning, it’s a minimum 45 minutes for one option and up to 3.5 hours for the whole programme.
