Mill on the Mead

The iconic, Grade I-listed Mead on the Mill is a former incorporating mill. It was here that ingredients were combined, ground up by huge millstones to produce gunpowder. A conservation project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund brought the building back into use in 2025, and its large boiler room can now be hired as a unique space to host a variety of parties and drinks and canape receptions.
