  • PSHE / Citizenship: Community, Resilience

Start your day with Leslie Gaunt, an ARP Warden full of stories about life during the Blitz. Leslie will guide your class around our 1940s display, showing how people shopped under rationing, what homes looked like at the time, and how to use an Anderson shelter. Listen out for the all-clear before leaving!

After lunch, students get hands-on with an evacuee suitcase, practise Blitz fire-fighting, and explore a real part of a V2 rocket.

This immersive workshop brings KS2 history to life, helping students experience the challenges and daily life of children and families during WWII.

They loved the Anderson Shelter and the immersive experience... it helped our children who sometimes struggle to just sit, learn a lot from the day.
